DFCC Vardhana Bank opens 100th branch

Thursday, September 23, 2010, Colombo: DFCC Vardhana Bank (DVB), the everyday banking unit of the pioneer development bank, DFCC Bank marked the landmark opening of its 100th Branch – Service center at Moratuwa today.

DFCC Vardhana Bank has grown from strength to strength over the past 7 years, since its inception, and the opening of the 100th Branch-service center makes DVB one of the fastest growing commercial banks in Sri Lanka to have achieved 100 delivery points in a very short time period. This rapid rate of expansion coupled with the bank’s vast network spanning every single district in the country, ensures that they are within reach to every single one of its consumers. Part of DVB’s branch network consists of Postal Banking Units which helps increase its physical distribution network and also gives the Bank the opportunity to target new areas, reaching out to a larger cross-section of the market.

DFCC Vardhana Bank’s 100th branch-service center in Moratuwa was preceded by the 75th  in Jaffna, the 50th in Beliatta, the 25th in Deniyaya and the very first branch, which is its head office located at Ramanayake Mawatha, Colombo 02.

DVB”s 100-strong network is further supported by an enhanced network of over 240 integrated ATM’s island wide. This network will be further strengthened in the near future with the launch of the Vardhana VISA International Debit Card. This affiliation will give DVB customers access to over 1,200 ATM’s in Sri Lanka and over 2 million across the globe.
