DFCC Vardhana Bank and Sampath Bank join forces to offer a more comprehensive ATM facility

Colombo, January 04 2010,: DFCC Vardhana Bank (DVB), the everyday banking unit of the pioneer development bank, DFCC Bank, joined forces with Sampath Bank, to offer extensively enhanced  ATM network facilities with wider location coverage in the island for their customer base.

The combined set up of the DVB-Sampath ATM network comprises of over 212 ATM points spread across the island, providing customers of both banks to access their accounts with more ease. This service is now available 24 hours, 365 days and is a real time, on-line banking facility that enhances customer convenience at a higher level.   

The above integration of ATM networks of DVB And Sampath which allows 212 ATM’s for the DVB ATM card holders for cash withdrawals, is the first phase of the DVB’s  ATM integration project . The second step would be to obtain connectivity to the visa ATM network which provides DVB customers the accessibility to the world wide visa ATM network which comprises of over 2 million ATM’s in the near future.

DFCC Vardhana Bank covers a vast geography in the country, having a presence in nearly all districts in Sri Lanka. This comprehensive network makes it convenient for DVB customers to access the bank and its services. DVB’s postal units also ensure that customers have better access to the bank’s Commercial and Personal Financial Services. The postal units; offered through the SL postal network aims to focus on providing formal banking facilities to rural areas through the extensive network of postal and sub-post offices.
