DFCC Vardhana Bank sponsors NCE Awards

Colombo, Monday, October 12, 2009: DFCC Vardhana Bank recently was one of the sponsors for the prestigious export awards ceremony, the Annual NCE Export Awards held at the Colombo Hilton in September this year. Organized by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) for the 17th time, this event rewards achievements of Sri Lanka exporters in the international marketplace, encouraging and motivating them in their work, which in turn enhances their contribution towards the economy of the country.

Award winners are selected from each of the three main categories of Export of Products, Export of Business and Professional Services and Suppliers and Service Providers to Exporters. DFCC Vardhana Bank was sponsors of the awards for the services sector.

“We decided to be one of the sponsors for this high profile awards ceremony as we feel it is important to support the exporters of our country as well as those who support them. We are proud to be a part of this initiative and do our part to help build Sri Lanka,” said Mr. L.G. Perera, Managing Director/CEO, DFCC Vardhana Bank.

The export awards were initiated by the Chamber in 1993, and since then has been held annually making it a ‘looked-forward-to’ event in the business calendar of the country.
